The Town of China Grove operates under the Council-Manager form of government. This system combines the strength of an elected Mayor and Town Council
with a professional Council-appointed manager and staff.
The Town Manager oversees the Administration, Fire, Police, and Public Works Departments. The Manager is also responsible for the development and administration of the Town’s
annual budget and Capital Improvement Plan and acts as a liaison between the citizens by reporting issues to the Town Council and Mayor.
The Town Manager is part of the Administration Department and is assisted in his duties by the Town Clerk, Finance Director, and Event Coordinator. The office of the Manager is located at the China Grove Municipal Building (Town Hall).
